Founded in 2019, the company achieved a milestone last spring on the road to correct, explainable and trustworthy artificial intelligence. An extension of the in-house language model Luminous is able to understand relationships in information and factual correctness on the basis of verified facts. Luminous forms the technical backbone of the city of Heidelberg's citizen information system Lumi, for example.
The project aims to secure the film heritage and relevant audiovisual documents of the state of Baden-Württemberg in the long term and make them more accessible to the public. As part of the project, an infrastructure will be created to archive digital sound and film documents professionally and, above all, to provide an attractive streaming service in "LEO-BW" and elsewhere. The content of the service is based on data from the AV archive of the State Archives as well as the digitised part of the State Film Collection and the House of Documentary Film.
Once the streaming service has been finalised, it will be opened up to other cultural institutions and relevant audiovisual content.

Das Projekt zielt darauf, das Filmerbe bzw. relevante audiovisuelle Dokumente des Landes Baden-Württemberg nachhaltig zu sichern und für die Öffentlichkeit besser zugänglich zu machen. Im Rahmen des Vorhabens wird eine Infrastruktur geschaffen, um digitale Ton- und Filmdokumente fachgerecht zu archivieren und vor allem ein attraktives Streamingangebot u.a. in „LEO-BW“ bereitzustellen. Die inhaltliche Basis des Angebots bilden die Daten des AV-Archivs des Landesarchivs sowie der digitalisierte Teil der Landesfilmsammlung und des Haus des Dokumentarfilms.
Nach Fertigstellung des Streamingdienstes wird das Angebot für weitere Kultureinrichtungen bzw. relevante AV-Inhalte geöffnet.
