Via Finnish, to save time and energy

I'm not sure I'll be able to go. It looks like it's really hard to get there from here and coasts more than ten times what it cost me to fly to Berlin.

Is going to Wien cheaper for you?

It looks that way, but it's still nowhere near as good as Berlin. And I'd still have to get from Wien to Bratislava. I haven't checked about that. I'll have to look around a bit more, but I really wish they hadn't changed the location. Berlin was so nice and convenient. It only cost me about 800 NOK for a two hour direct flight last year. All I've found so far for Bratislava costs over 12 000 NOK and is over 24 hours with several stops. Wien looks like 2 000 - 3 000 NOK and at least 4.5 hours with at least one stop.

Well that sucks! The woman who could have taught me Slovakian has left my company. More importantly this might mean I'm not going to get cookies for learning Finnish. :(

You may want to consider going via Prague as well. It seems Norewgian has cheap direct flights from Trondheim. Bus or train to Bratislava is around 4-5 hours and tickets seem to be in the range 6-20 euro.

Thanks. I'll look into that. Berlin was just so easy to get to. Why did they have to change it?! :x

I was hoping for Berlin also (I'm in Frankfurt so that is pretty easy). Bratislava is going to be trickier. The fly to Vienna and take a bus seems like the best choice.

Personally I would much rather go to Bratislava than Berlin or Vienna. Hopefully I can go this time! Is this planned for next May?
