I found the same expensive flights from Sweden with multiple stops in 24 hours. As soon as we get some dates, I'll look into other flight destinations (maybe Vienna or Prague are close enough).

It's very easy to get to Bratislava from Vienna. You can either take the bus or the train. Both take about 60 minutes.

If you're crazy, you can get from Trondheim to Bratislava within 34.5h by train. It was probably much more comfortable, before the night train between Koepenhavn and Prague stopped operating.

When considering Prague for flights, Budapest is probably also an option.

A little bit more info about the event in Bratislava in this video :)

And as of now, there's still about two hours left to support the Amikumu app if you're interested.

I know this is very subjective and comes from an Australian never having visited Brataslava, but I think it's a great location. Over the years I've always been curious about this city (and read up on it), it's location at a linguistic crossroads of sorts, and it's linguistic history- interesting 'stuff'. My apologies, I do know I'm stating the very obvious for some. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it, but maybe in years to come I'll be a regular ;) (save us all)

The registration is open, and I've just registered. If you're going you might want to get in quick! This time accommodation is up to you, although they've put some recommended hotels on the site.

EDIT: There are already 45 people registered. :)

I can make the time period! I'm a little hesitant about registering this month, as the budget must first be consulted. I don't think it's particularly forgiving this month :/

I am very interested in attending but I'm not going to know my class schedule for that semester until February. If I wait until then, do you think I will miss out on a spot? I don't want to miss out but I also don't want to register (and pay all that money) if I can't end up going.
If I do attend, I would love it if we had a little LLORG/HTLAL meet up so I could finally meet the people who's lives I have been reading about for so long (And so Im not completely alone and antisocial while there)!

On the registration page there is a schedule of when you can get refunds, of course the longer you leave it the less you'll be refunded. But you might consider that.
