How is this working out for you ?

I've not done anything. I tried to do some spontaneous chats, but they didn't work. I've been otherwise distracted the past few days. I'm gonna give it a go with some writing practice soon though. Will keep you posted.

=To not know anything about.
eg. Je n'y connais rien en biologie.
= I don't know a thing about biology
N'y connaître pas grand chose.
=To not know much/a great deal.
eg. Je n'y connais pas grand chose.
=I don't know much/a great deal.
s'y connaître en qqch
=to know a lot about sth
eg. Je m'y connais en biologie.
=I know a lot about biology.

Anything else about your learning journey: I have a decently high level of Spanish to help with my French; I'll also be learning with one of my sisters, which will almost certainly have some interesting interpersonal dynamics.
I don't have any favorite French media yet, because I haven't started studying French yet.

Hi arthaey,
Good luck with your French! and welcome This thread/team hasn't seen much activity of late. It was an attempt at continuing where we left off on the HTLAL site, but we lost some decent French co-leaders of the team in the process too. So now as tomgosse has started a new thread called "French Group 2016 - Les Voyageurs" it seems the momentum is over there of late. So, I'd recommend all French learners from this thread/team make there way over there. Heres a link

Oops, sorry for posting to the "wrong" French team! I'll head over to the other thread.
