So...podcasts? What podcasts/audio resources do you all prefer for your languages? I just read through Evita's Korean log, and I am so stoked to find a casual Korean podcast to listen to. Anyone else like listening to podcasts, or are Pimsleur and Assimil more preferred?

Just curious, and wanting to share resources with everyone. You can find the Korean podcast by typing in 유인나 into your podcast feed, it might pop up! It did on iTunes, and I think Evita uses Android? Also you can find the show with english subs on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=joNPXpu-mCo

For podcast/listening stuff, I use Japanesepod101 and later will use Erin's Challenge. Pimsleur and Assimil are preferred for me because it easy for me with my low vocabulary to pick up new words :D

I found this a while ago while looking for Japanese radios; http://www.j-wave.co.jp/radiobar/hyper.htm
Dont know if it a podcast or just hour long talk about music. They are active and update mostly every Friday.

Using Podcast Republic on my android tablet, I follow Singer Song Gamer, who I think talks about game and tech news.
There are also a lot of other JP podcast on this app as well :3

I'd like to sign up for Team East Asian Languages, specifically for Japanese. I'm aiming for N2 this time around.

My joint Japanese/German TAC log is here.

Thanks

I had a bit of a break the past days because I was moving back home. My log can be found on the left of this post.

My main goal for 2016 is consistency. I've always had problems with that while I was studying Japanese. I think I can progress faster if I do a little bit every day instead of doing a couple big study sessions a month/week. Japanese and Korean will be my focus, Mandarin whenever I have time after that.

My goals for 2016:
Japanse: Continue doing what I've been doing; mainly Anki, extensive reading, intensive reading & translations, and watching anime (Gintama at the moment).
Korean: Get to a low-intermediate level through Anki, intensive reading, and textbooks (できる韓国語 & TTMIK).
Chinese: Get to a high-beginner level through Anki, and textbooks (NPCR [to finish book 2] & NHK中国語入門).

Looking forward to following everyone's logs!

So did anyone have any ideas for a good team name or do people want to leave it how it is? Since we don't all have a common Asian language, it makes it a little harder but I feel like we have some creative people here so someone should be able to come up with something!

I think it's fine how it is because it includes all the languages in East Asia. Which make it easy for new people to find and join.

Can't say I have.

Maybe try posting about it in the "Language Programs and Resources" part of the forum? There are more Japanese learners on these forums who aren't in this group, they might have some experience with it or know something about it.

Sorry for the radio silence, everyone. The Day Job went a bit haywire on me this week.

Glad to have you, Dampingwire! I'll add you to the list.
