Re: Reading short stories challenge 2016
Interesting challenge! It may be easier to tackle a short story than a full length novel or non-fiction in a foreign language. Any suggestions for "easier" short stories targeted at adults in Spanish? I am at a passive A2 level in the language, but can also import the story into Linq if it's text is available online. I am also open to ones in book form, with the aid of a dictionary.

Although I said I won't update the thread to keep things tidy, I think it's worth noting that I've found a book of Tove Jansson short stories that actually count! Let's all celebrate by holding Tove Jansson day.

You're not a C1 (or B1 or whatever) if you haven't tested.

Read the first Esperanto short story today from my book Trezoro, La batalkampo de l'arboj by Albert Edward Styler.

Re: Reading short stories challenge 2016
Six months after signing up, I've read my first short story! I'll be updating my sign-up post with the stories I'm reading to keep track for the challenge.
As I said when I signed up, I own two parallel text short story collections that I want to go through. I'm working first on the one where the stories seem shorter and easier. I skipped two stories because I wasn't interested in them, then read a story that turned out to be pretty boring, unfortunately, but at least I started the challenge.

Re: Reading short stories challenge 2016
Is it too late to joing this group?
I have read exactly 5 short stories in German so far this year. It's easier to borrow the books now I have access to the library of the Goethe-Institut.
Languages and levels: German (A2-B1)
Goal: One or two short stories per month
Books you plan to read: Finishing Das Wunschhaus und andere Geschichten at the moment. Anything interesting I come across in the library.
