Всем привет! Я недавно подписалась в Русскую группу <<TAC>>, и я хочу познакомиться с вами. Я изучаю русский язык в течение двух с половиной лет, но чувствую себя, что я медленно продолжаю. Но я скоро поеду в Россию, и надеюсь, что у меня будет много прогрессов. Я очень рада заниматься с вами
Hello, everyone! I've been studying Russian for about two and a half years, and I decided to join the TAC because I'm a little frustrated with my progress and I think that being a part of this community will be a huge help to my studies. I will be heading to Russia in less than a week, and I will be there until the middle of May. That should be a big impetus to my language studies. I look forward to sharing this journey will you all and to hearing about you're experiences!

Welcome, azul!
I saw three posts in the sign-up thread including azul's, and edited our team roster in the first post accordingly. Remember to give me a link to your logs so I can add that there as well.

Dear teammates, which podcasts have you used for Russian? There are so many resources that I don't know which to pick.
Currently I'm using http://ochenporusski.com . I've already been through the existing lessons for Russianpod101, but that was years ago, I probably was at a low A2 and made an inadequate use of more advanced lessons.
What I mostly need is text with transcription on daily topics, though something sill aimed at learners, since my B1ish Russian has several gaps in both grammar and vocabulary.

I found very usefull RUSSIAN MADE EASY, although very basic, so if you're above the A2 level you won't probably find it interesting

Has anyone seen https://studyenglishwords.com before? It looks like it's a resource for teaching Russian speakers English, but it's just a repository of online parallel texts, so we can use it, too. There are a ton of books in here, including plenty of Russian classics and English classics that I recognized immediately.

It's not terribly up to date, but has a lot of audio with exercises. It is basically news broadcasts done slowly:
Almost forgot about one of my favorite books for Russian: Roots of the Russian Language, by Patrick.
A wonderful book listing the most used roots and giving examples of words from the roots with sample sentences. Here's an example section:
МЕРЗ- МОРОЗ-...........COLD, FROST
мёрз-нуть, to be cold, freeze.....Я мёрз всю зиму. за-мерз-ать, to freeze................Вода замерзает в луже. мороз, frost, cold.......................Какой вчера был мороз! мороз-ить, to freeze..................На дворе морозит. мороженое, ice cream...............На сладкое подали морожоное.
The book has been out for quite a while, so it is probably available used for a good price.
