beginner audio Mandarin Chinese

Postby guiguixx1 » Tue Apr 25, 2017 5:09 am

Hi all!

I'm learning Mandarin Chinese and am studying the basic kanjis. I can already understand the most basic sentences like "My name is" or "my mother is 45 years old" and I would like to find some audio to practice my listening while I'm biking. I know most audios will be very difficult at my stage but I want to get my ears accustomed even if I won't understand most of the content. Is there any website with basic audios for that stage that can be downloaded?

Thanks in advance!

Something like this?
http://www.goethe-verlag.com/book2/EN/ENZH/ENZH002.HTM

Each sentence is presented in English and Chinese (including pinyin) on the page, plus a short mp3-file (two voices).

I think someone here has mentioned the site before.

Addition:
French/Chinese

You can buy a travel phrasebook here for ~€5 with your NL and Mandarin.

https://www.loecsen.com/en/learn-chines ... df-chinese

You also get a PDF, although I ripped the PDF to text and made a load of Anki cards with audio, but you can just use the audio.

I have to add that I would like to find MP3 files to listen to when I listen and I'm not at home, when I'm walking for example. I don't HAVE to understand everything (of course) but I would check comprehension at home and listen to the podcast dozens of times without transcript afterwards. I have found some videos on youtube with the pronounciation for numbers from 0 to 10 for example, and listening to them over and over gain helps. Are there maybe some Youtube Channel that I could use (downloading the video as MP3)?

The site I gave you has a package of 100 mp3 files (one for each lesson) - 69.4 MB. Each is a couple of minutes long and has basic phrases - this is the first one:
http://www.goethe-verlag.com/book2/FR/FRZH/FRZH003.HTM

Glossika may also be an option, though possibly with a more random selection of phrases.

Samples here: https://soundcloud.com/glossika

I haven't tried it myself, but I think there's someone here who has.

I hadn't seen how to download the files on the Goethe website ^^' it's a good beginning to practice the basics! Thanks a lot!

But if anyone knows other ressources (be it for listening or anything else), I'm making a list of ressources for Chinese (and other languages as well. I have a bit more than 300 ressources all in all for now) so any new ressource is interesting to take!
