Program/Podcast for German Learners

Postby Soclydeza » Mon Sep 14, 2015 12:23 am

I use Audible (audio book company) a lot and have come across what seems to be an excellent source for German Learners in the B1-B2 (I think they have A2 stuff too) range called Deutsch Perfekt Audio. They come out with new edition monthly, about an hour long of pure German, in a variety of general themes and it comes with a PDF for reading, exercises, etc. I listened to one of them the other day and it was excellent listening practice and the PDF is very useful. If you go to their website you can subscribe to a monthly magazine, physical or digital, that's geared toward German learners, which seems awesome but I don't have any experience with it yet.

I normally dislike podcasts (I find them too slow and lacking in direction), but this one seems to be very well made and thought out; I figured I'd share it with my fellow German learners that are lingering in the intermediate level and are looking for more materials. Viel Spaß!

Also, I have absolutely no affiliation with this company.

Thanks for posting that, I'll look into it. I just got an Audible promo code today in the mail, too.

Other podcasts that I find are reasonable in speed in content are the DW podcasts. Wirtschaft, Focus Europa and Top Thema are on my feeds.

Good to know they're on Audible. I might renew my subscription. Just for clarification's sake, are you saying that the Deutsch Perfekt on audible also comes with a PDF?

Podcast wise I really like some of the podcasts that Deutschlandfunk and Bayern 2 produce. I listen to podcast/series on Bayern 2 is RadioWissen and just realized that you can download the transcripts which is great!

Yes, you have to go into your library and you'll see a link for the PDF

Thanks for the other podcast recommendations, I'll check them out after this post
