Mark as read shortcut

I know it's on the main page, but I tend to like to mark things as read each time I check the forum to ensure I don't confuse posts that I've already read with ones I haven't. Could we have it added to the quick links perhaps or next to the active topics (this I realise might be a bit of an awkward placement though due to its proximity to a frequently used button)?
