http://wp.me/p52UBG-h9

Και λυπάμαι, αλλά τα ελληνικά μου δεν είναι στο ίδιο επίπεδο όπως τα αγγλικά, ισπανικά ή ρωσικά μου. Θα υπάρχουν πολλά λάθη. Δεν πειράζει, ελπίζω;;

Another text. This is based on the Czech version of January's edition of National Geographic magazine, which focused on the gender revolution and includes explanations of how gender identity is constructed and how we should deal with gender identity in the modern age. Unfortunately the Czech editors decided to completely change the tack of the original story, and included a single expert known for his very conservative, homophobic and transphobic views. The editor doesn't really escape unscathed, either, because it was clearly an intentional change aimed to fly under the radar, a very dishonest attempt to besmirch the name of trans people around that country. (Clearly a simple denial to publish this gender-themed edition would have sufficed if editorial staff were convinced of their moral views - at least that would have been honest... still despicable, but honest).

The Czech activist group Trans*parent wrote a letter to the American editors of National Geographic. My article in Czech mostly recounts that story but adds some other facts of life for trans people in the Czech Republic and some viewpoints of my own at the end.

I know you're getting bombarded with a lot of feminist and gender-based articles on my blog, but sadly the reality is that that is a part of life for me, and recent political events aren't really improving the situation. (The next article is planned and will be in Russian, but that is about propaganda and patriotism in Russian schools in Saint-Petersburg. A different story altogether). Any political comments should probably go on the blog itself, but you can discuss my Czech grammar here, hah.

On patriotism and new, well, surveys and exams being distributed in Russian schools. In Russian. The same as usual applies.

In other news, I finished El tiempo entre costuras, and have moved on to Армагед-дом.

I think that eastern (or central, i think that the Czechs feel cenrtal) Europe is much more conservative about that than western europe. But it's weird that National Geographic accepts such prejudice in their publication.

I understand.

Do you know the English man who works for a Swiss bank in London is a lady half the week and man the other half? I can't remember his name. he's got two names, and his / her colleagues use the one for the gender he / she is on that day.

I've seen him, but I didn't greet him. I'm really shy and I didn't know those people at all, and only there for some minutes. Actually, he was a lady that day, and she had veyr ncie clothes, make-up and jewels. her nails were pretty as well. she wears a blonde wig when she's a lady. The bank is called Credit Suisse, but she / he is English and works in London.

I've searcehd and found her. She seems to be on a website about being trans:

http://outleadership.com/media_post/cre ... ans-guide/

The website looks like it's in New York, but I saw her in London. Trans is quite a big thing for the lawyers I think, so human rights, employemnt law etc.
