My personal TAC 2016 + SUPER-CHALLENGE 2016-17 log for Japanese, Spanish, and Persian

I am so glad that I discovered this forum since it gives me so much motivation to study my target languages. I'll give a quick overview over my skills in various languages:

Spanish:
Reading:
- since I know Italian recognizing difficult vocab isn't that difficult
- sometimes I get all of the text immediately sometimes I don't understand a word, it's weird
Speaking:
- I can speak pretty fluently depending on the topic
- The main thing I do wrong while speaking is subjunctive
Listening:
- I get most of what is said and I can guess unknown words from context
- sometimes speakers in movies whisper or have strange accents and I don't understand them without prior exposure
- (Chilean Spanish is my weakness I don't understand anything)
Writing:
- I sometimes use vocabulary wrong if I simply "import" it from English or Italian
- I don't write very often

Japanese:

Speaking:
- I suck
Listening:
- I understand some basic grammar but I'm bad at hearing vocabulary even if I actually learnt it already
- need more exposure
Writing:
- I can write some Kanji and all the kana fluently
- I'm planning on learning to write the most common/useful kanji
Reading:
- I have to look up a lot and it intimidates me because of the huge amount of unknown kanji and grammar

Persian: - I basically just started

Good luck with your languages! I'm also studying Persian, so I'll be following your log. How did you become interested in Persian? And do you already have resources - what are you using?
