Hi all,
I'm just starting the TAC and I've decided to do Spanish. My goal is just to learn as much Spanish as possible by December 2016. Ideally I'd like to end up around B1/B2, but we'll see what happens!
What I'm using: Memrise (20,000 points per day); Duolingo (50 xp per day); Busuu Spanish; iTalki chats hopefully once every two weeks
Please feel free to add suggestions/comments!
Thanks!

Re: gpd9eq's Spanish log TAC 2016
Today's efforts:
Memrise -- 13,000 points: 37/1705 words learned
Duolingo -- 60 points: Basics 1, Phrases
Busuu -- A1: Lesson 1, Lesson 2
I've adjusted my Memrise goal to 6,000 points per day, though I'll likely do 10,000 per day anyways. I also might be adjusting the amount of work per day, but for the next few days this pace should be good! Thanks!

Hi Grey, welcome and good luck with your Spanish studies!
It looks like, from the resources you're using, you're starting from scratch with Spanish—is that right?

I guess I am technically, though I have a couple years of HS experience. Those were almost 10 years ago, though, so I'm just restarting from scratch!

Re: gpd9eq's Spanish log TAC 2016
I'm going to tack on rewriting one article in both Russian and Spanish every day. Russian is my 1st foreign language and I'm quite proficient in it. As far as Spanish, I just copied most of an article from CNN in Spanish and I could already understand about 40% of it (of course, it wasn't a different article as there were numerous cognates). I'm hoping to utilize this method (scriptorium, by Dr. Arguelles) to:
1) further improve my Russian vocabulary, since I'm studying abroad this summer, and
2) practice my Spanish writing, practice reading for understanding (not necessarily strict translation) and learn some more vocabulary on the side.
It's been added to my progress bars in my signature. My goal is 100 articles (50 in both languages) before I go abroad in mid-May.
