...couldn't think of another name for this log but here we go...
I have read other users' logs and they are so informative and relatable! I thought I should also keep track of my progress online, specifically for the Super Challenge (also because I get lazy and procrastinate ).
So... I'll be making this a weekly log and have some weekly or even monthly tasks to complete within the allocated time.
I'll put up my 1st progress post later today.
Now let's get started!

Re: The Mysterious Turkish SC
WEEK 1
#1
So... 1st week.
I started reading Roger Ackroyd Cinayeti by Agatha Christie. Till now the story seems pretty interesting. Though I only read 53 pages throughout the whole week.
As for the watching part, I'd only managed to watch half a random drama episode, around 40/90 min, but I think I'll start this week with a clean slate and won't count that. The drama I'm planning to watch is Behzat Ç. Also a detective story (I think I have a thing for those.. ).
My plan for this week:
Read at least 70-100 pages in total.
Watch at least 3 hours of the drama.
Anymore than that and I'll get lazy, so I think I should ease myself into it. Also since I'm a bit swamped with assignments everyday, I think that's a good middle ground until I improve.
Perhaps I should also post some of the content I'll be using for the SC. I'll see to it when I'm free.

This week was a week full of procrastination and unwillingness to do anything. A little progress is better than none however. I usually read during my commute, so for a maximum of 40-60 minutes a day, plus any free time I get. In that time frame, I can read from upwards to 40 pages. Problem is that I get headaches from reading in Turkish for too long, that's why one of my goals for the Super Challenge is to increase my reading stamina/get less fatigued. I already have some books lined up to read, though I'm quite indecisive when choosing which one to read next.
As for watching, although I technically watched 40 min of content, I was barely concentrating, so I abstained from counting them. Anyways, I decided to watch a drama series on my days off when I'm relaxed and have nothing to do.
Perhaps I should aim to do more everyday... For now, I'll try to be more consistent.

19.
Of course, I won't read them in that order. I'll probably leave the native books for last.
Dramas I've Watched:
...none
Dramas I'll Watch:
1.Behzat Ç
2.
Ya...I'm not much of a drama watcher in case that wasn't obvious.
Youtubers:
1.Barış Özcan
2.Murat Soner
3.Luser
4.Saltukhan Ayas
5.TRT Çocuk
If you'd like some learning channels, then I would recommend:
1.Learn Turkish with Ali Yılmaz
2.Yunus Emre Enstitüsü
3.Learn Turkish with Turkish Coffee
4.
Websites:
From what I've seen, Elon.io is pretty good and systematic.
Songs:
Honestly, I usually search for songs and if I like them, I analyze their lyrics and learn new vocab from them.
Apps
TRT Çocuk has an app with stories. They can be downloaded and each one has audio. Plus, at the end of each story, there's a minigame about it.
The app is TRT Çocuk Kitaplık.
I'll add some others when I remember them.

I'd be interested to know where you are located and on which platform(?) you intend to watch Behzat Ç.
A Turkish conversation partner recommended the series highly, but I've not been able to find it anywhere, even the DVD sets are unavailable.

Actually, most Turkish dramas can be found for free on Youtube (Each series has its own channel). Just type 'Behzat Ç Oynatma Listesi', and there should be a playlist with all the episodes available.

Oh, wow, thanks! Why didn't that occur to me?

Well, most series, no matter the country of origin, are pretty much never available on Youtube, so it's not surprising why people never bother searching there.
I guess this is a perk of learning Turkish.
Although, beware, some of these series are without subtitles from any language.

WEEK 2
Pages read: 179 pages
Minutes watched: 0 min
READING
I finally finished Roger Ackroyd Cinayeti by Agatha Christie and what a book it was! I'm a bit proud of myself for guessing the culprit, maybe I should also become a detective?
Anyway, I read A LOT more than usual because I wanted to be done with the book this week and surprisingly I succeeded.
And now....I don't know the next book to start. It always takes me a 100 years to decide and that's a pretty annoying petpeeve of mine . Should I continue with the Agatha Christie books, or venture out a bit.... Who knows.
WATCHING
...nothing, again.
I should stop putting that off, but... I don't know. I hate starting long-term commitments.
Time skip one day later...
So....
For this week, I started reading 11/22/63...I know I just said I hated committing to stuff, but I wanted a change in genre. Well...anyways, I'm gonna be rather busy this coming month, so I'm not gonna have much time to do the SC. I'll use up all my free time and try my best though...which isn't much.
See you in my next progress report.

I noticed you had a couple of Celil Oker books on your list. I found Ciplak Ceset to be a fairly easy read. Not much more difficult than Agatha Christie. And it was fun to read a mystery that was set in Istanbul.
