Yeah, that spoon looks more like a shovel to me.

 You're right, I have been doing lots of Spanish just lately. The thing is, my nick/username is Spoon(ary). I am the spoon, so it's me that's full of Spanish. :P

Thank you Rdearman, for the suggestion. I will definitely have a closer look at that list of prompts.

Thanks jennybenny25 for the encouragement :)

How do you find keeping a diary like that? I didn't find it very productive as a way of practising writing, since I kept writing much of the same stuff: 150-200 words of what I read, listened to, etc. and comments to that as well as what I did (what I did in a game, where I went that day, ec.).

Maybe your days are more interesting than mine!

@steyyan Yeah, I know what you mean. As I wrote in my goal wrap-up for last week, I am feeling the need to change up my writing a bit, because I have been constantly writing about the same things (although I sometimes go off on a tangent and discuss a topic in more depth). From now on I will be trying to use writing prompts to give my writing more focus, while also covering more diverse topics.

Output: January mini challenge (Spanish) - Rules
Well, here you have it: my January mini output challenge in audio and text form. Note: I improvised a bit and added another phrase onto the end, so sorry about that. Also, I am terrible at doing voices so my two characters sound almost identical in the middle (Berto is supposed to be more nasal, while Amelia has my "neutral" Spanish voice) where it also gets a bit shouty, so watch that volume!

Vengaaa tonta, vamos a tomar algo.
¡No, no estamos “trankis”!

Yo: Gracias

Aww, thank you all for your kind comments, everyone.

With regards to the output challenge, I am simply determined to record my 10 minutes/write my 150-200 words per day, every day, so no matter how I am feeling, I crank them out and check them off on my list of goals. This amount of output would be all well and good for someone at an intermediate level but as I am at a pretty advanced level in Spanish, I can't help but feel like I should be putting more effort into my output, discussing a different topic each time and making sure I use advanced structures and vocabulary, so although I admit I have done a lot so far this year, I'm not completely happy with the quality.

And as for my Spanish, I don't think I am hearing what you're all hearing :P I am willing to admit that my consonants are pretty good and my intonation is ok at times but my vowels are constantly all over the place, and that's a bit pathetic considering Spanish only has 5 pure vowel sounds.

That's why I suggest you renamed yourself immediately to Shovelary.

WOW! I should focus on such output goals too, it sounds to work awesome for you! Btw your recording sounds really good.

This made me laugh out loud - for real, not just the internets version.
