In your chosen language of study, which part of speech causes you the greatest challenge?
For me in French it is the adverbs.
Your greatest difficulty?

Re: Your greatest difficulty?
Russian, verbs by far.
Verbs of motion, aspects, prefixes. Plus, irregular verbs can be quite tricky for me at the moment

Re: Your greatest difficulty?
Really depends on the language for me to give a correct answer, but in general grammar isn't my weak spot... it's formulating a coherent thought that anybody wants to hear, and getting enough listening/speaking practice in.
I think the toughest are conjunctions for that very reason.

Re: Your greatest difficulty?
Grammar is not really the problem for me. Not that I don`t make mistakes, but I actually enjoy things like Latin`s declensions or verb system. Vocabulary, and in particular remembering it, is the hardest part in my opinion. This is especially true for things like prepositions and little important adverbs, adjectives and other such words. I will often find I know how to talk about the police arresting an underworld bigshot, but forget the word for above.

Re: Your greatest difficulty?
I chose verbs but I've mostly focused on Romance languages where there are a million and one forms to learn and remember. I make tons of mistakes with things like prepositions and gender and number agreement too, but these aren't "showstoppers" in the way that an incorrect or forgotten verb form can be.

Pour moi, c'est le verbe suivi du pronom.1
1For me, it's the verb followed by the pronoun.

Just use [ sup ] and [ /sup ] for superscript and [ sub ] [ /sub ] for subscript. (I put in spaces so you can see the tags, but to use them remove all spaces between the two brackets. [ ]

Re: Your greatest difficulty?
I really appreciate people sharing their difficulties in language learning. It is so easy to feel stupid along the way and yet knowing others have difficulties encourages me to hang in and persevere.
