Here is the link to instructions for the subs2srs card creation.

Coud you share with us your Anki settings? I find it hard to set it properly for using Anki as an exposure tool only.

I just use the default settings and press "Good" every time. The only thing I do differently is to have 20-30 new cards per day which quickly builds up to ~150-200 to review daily, and I have a max review per day of 10,000. That should be enough exposure (this can get out of control if you're not doing it every day) In my Mandarin deck for example I see common characters like 我,你,好,说 again and again because they turn up every other sentence almost. So although I'm probably only about 1/4 way through my 10k deck, I've got those down pat. Plus others.

Thanks.

Do you delete cards and if so, when?

I suspend cards, I don't delete. But only because it is quicker. One step instead of two.

After what time you do so? Have you got a rule or you do it intuitively?

I learned about 7000 words of Samoan with wordlists, simply by relearning each list on day 1, 2, 4,8, and 16.
I missed the extra that anki gives for hard words, but since I rememorized the words each time I did them, I knew them all pretty well by the end.
This method kept me from having a constantly building set of words to review each day.

You could set the intial intervals to 1,2,4... days.

I get rid of them if they annoy me. If they are too similar to another card. If it is a poor quality card. I often use premade decks and sometimes the quality isn't good, poor spelling, bad audio, etc.

Edit:
Just to give some clarification, right now I have 49,411 cards in total. I normally generate 1000-2000 cards per film with subs2srs, and download premade cards in the thousands. The cards I use are cheap and easy to create timewise, and so I have no real vested interest in keeping them or not. I only suspend cards because it is an easy "swipe right" on the screen to do it. Od the number above about 1% are suspended.

How long it takes you to do so? Do you wach all movie and pick pieces from it or you use some kind of words searcher?

I use a DVD with sub-titles in NL & TL. As per these instructions http://learnanylanguage.wikia.com/wiki/Subs2srs

Takes less than an hour

How many hours, more or less, it took you to learn those 7000 words? Sorry, I had to ask because I'm almost sick and tired of doing Anki cards and rewievs for over 8 months 3-4 hours a day without at least good results. I was always good at memorizing words from wordlist but I haven't used that method (actually, a classical one) for ages.

One more thing; how do you estimate your retention of those memorized words? In percentage, if you could, please. :)

Actually, I think that now, after I have mastered the Swedish spelling and pronunciation, it's quite reasonable to move to wordlists.

The making of cards is such time consuming, do you know where can I find the script he mentioned in the first post?
Daily, I spend about 60 minutes for creating cards and only about 20 for viewing and reviewing them. I've spent about 300 hours for this and have remembered only a bit over 2000 words.
