Help needed with translations

Hi Guys,

I'm new here, suggested by a friend who is a member. He told me to post my request here as it is a truly-multilingual request.

My wife writes poems for a hobby, and I like them. Last Father's Day, she wrote me one, from the view of our one year old son. Now, I have the idea to have it translated into as many languages as possible! The world record for a translated poem stands at 203 languages. I want to beat it, as present for my wife and son. The original poem is in Dutch, but I've translated it into English as most people don't understand Dutch as well, so the English version does not rhyme.

Who would like to help with the translation? Thanks in advance.

It's a pity that it doens't rhyme in English. maybe you can adapt the words? I have some ideas:

I like your verses, but alas i think i have to stick to the original as it's not mine, but my wife's.
