Language Room Suggestions

I basically made this suggestion on HTLAL a while back.

A shame as it is, it seems to be hard to get learners chatting spontaneously in foreign languages, and although I wouldn't want to discourage it, I think it is a waste that sub-forums be reserved for this use. For me it would be more useful if all discussions relating to a language, whether in that language or in English, were grouped together in language specific rooms. That would encompass the old "specific languages" and "questions about your target languages" plus anything relevant from resources or strategies.

I have also met non anglophone learners who were reluctant to join HTLAL, because their English was not of a good enough standard to join in the general discussions. It would be good if there was a way of catering for them by having more actual language learning discussions, written in languages other than English, which would of course also be of benefit to learners of those languages.

An off-topic forum could be fun too

Not a whole offtopic forum, but topics for random conversations in each language. I would gladly exchange different stuff unrelated to language learning... auf Deutsch, hehe.
