Re: Any Pimsleur Discount?

Go to your library and ask about "Inter-Library Loan". If they don't have your Pimsleur course, they can get it for you from another library.

Re: What is your experience with taking breaks from language study?

Depends what you mean by "break". I have been going non-stop for two years, but at varying degrees of intensity. By keeping an L2 audiobook in my car and by checking the news in L2 every morning, I get at least a little L2 in every day even if it does not involve studying.

Re: Le groupe français 2016 - 2017 Les Voyageurs

Hi guys! I haven't really been posting much but I'm still around. I'm still studying although I took a few days off here and there do to a recent move and some other things going on in life. Since I completed the passive phase of Assimil's New French With Ease I kind of gave up on the active phase....

This guy has a relatively painless method for learning the Greek alphabet: https://www.amazon.com/Learn-Ancient-Greek-Latin-Language/dp/0715627589 I wish all new alphabets were taught like this. Basically he teaches you a couple of letters at a time, and then gives you reading practice using only th...

Re: ShawnP's Spanish Adventure

Tomas, That's what I was talking about in last post. I've downloaded every single mp3 already and listen to many of them sporadically as I'm not able to understand much of it. Imagine how great it would be if all transcripts were available. I.E. GOLDMINE. I'm positive my listening has improved dram...

If you like Raymond Chandler you might love James M Cain:

Really excellent use of the mid-20th century American vernacular, and a fantastic story-teller to boot.
