My thoughts: The high numbers in Chinese reflect the current wave of immigration and the fact that China is our largest trading partner, French and German reflect "tradition", Japanese reflects that Japan is our second largest trading partner and there was a huge push from the department ...

In New South Wales, only about 10 per cent of HSC students undertook a second language in 2013. In Western Australia, less than half of public schools offer second language programs. Victoria is the only state to have mandatory language learning policy from prep to Year 10. Is there a default L2 ta...
