Re: Esperanto Study Group

So I've been on the search for L-R resources for Esperanto, after enjoying my three weeks of trying L-R in Russian using The Martian . As we know, there aren't a lot of audio-books in Esperanto. I don't know about you, but I've read Alice in Wonderland enough already. But I have found some out there...

Re: Ani's 2017 Log

Baby baby baby! Baby baby baby!! I was gong to post a picture but they are all weird and he won't open his eyes :) Anyway William is here after an hour and 10 minutes of labor. I did point out that William is a bit hard to pronounce in the flow of French speech. DH says I should just call him Guill...

Thanks blaurebell. It's already set up like that. I just think it is the Russian audiobook store I bought it from. ;)

Re: Radioclare's 2017 log (Croatian/Russian)

I definitely wouldn't recommend Clozemaster for kids - I've had three sentences with F-words in this evening  Although it would be interesting to know whether the other languages also have these kind of sentences or whether it's just that there is a lot of swearing in Croatian  It's Sla...

I was browsing the Duolingo website the other day, they actually have a Klingon course!

But it is not ready yet. Probably won't be for a while.

Wow, didn't realize it had been so long since I last posted. Just finished 3 weeks of Russian, mostly with L-R'ing The Martian . Going well so far, a little over half done with the book, except that now the audiobook I got won't remember where I am when I turn my iPod off. I have to remember the min...

Re: Radioclare's 2017 log (Croatian/Russian)

I've dusted off my copy of "Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian: A Grammar with Sociolinguistic Commentary" and am doing some serious grammar revision. I'm aiming to reread the entire textbook from cover to cover before I go to Croatia. I want to read it slowly, and make notes of anything interest...

Re: How Did You Learn Your First Foreign Language?

Was this seven days a week, for 47 weeks? I remember getting 20-word vocabulary tests for French, but once a week. This was in school. 20 words in Spanish as well. For German I did vocabulary from lessons but also created a special notebook for it and worked through a German Vis-Ed box (1,000 cards...

Re: So many languages, so little time. A(nother) language log (RU, EO, maybe some others)

First week of L-R done. The Martian is going great. I'm following the story just fine, and learning the occasional new Russian word. Tomorrow is my day to do some Esperanto reading in preparation for my test on 10 June. I'm reading a play now, which has 10 scenes, and questions for each scene. When ...
